I begin by measuring your device's initial performance. The greyscale points, colours and picture modes checked depend on the agreed package.
Using 2-point and, where supported and included, multipoint white balance controls, I adjust the white point to D65. The available controls and panel behaviour determine how accurately this can be maintained across the luminance range.
In SDR mode, I use the available colour controls to align primary and secondary colours with Rec.709. The aim is natural colour reproduction within your display's technical capabilities.
I adjust SDR luminance tracking to the agreed target and your viewing conditions, for example BT.1886 or gamma 2.4 in a darkened room. HDR picture modes are checked separately from the Professional package onwards.
After adjustment, I verify the result with further measurements. The scope and picture modes depend on your package. I explain any remaining deviations; a fixed ΔE threshold cannot be guaranteed independently of the device.
You receive a PDF measurement report and documented settings for the agreed scope. Before-and-after values are compared only when measured under comparable conditions. A reset or firmware update may require another check.

Getting your TV calibrated costs 399 to €599 including VAT depending on the package, plus travel. The configurator adds both up for you. Dolby Vision requires a compatible set and a supported calibration path.

For compatible LG OLED TVs with internal 3D LUTs, the LG OLED Master reference package is available at €1,999 plus travel. Whether manual calibration or a 3D LUT is more suitable depends on your device and requirements.
TVs offer different picture modes for bright showrooms, living rooms and darkened environments. A suitable Cinema or Filmmaker mode can be a good starting point, but it does not account for your individual panel or your specific viewing conditions.
There is also unit-to-unit variation. Two devices from the same batch can differ noticeably in white point, and OLED panels drift with use. Filmmaker mode is a useful starting point, but it still reflects the manufacturer's assumptions about a typical unit, rather than measurements of yours.
Calibration builds on a suitable picture mode using measurements of your individual panel. I adjust the result to the agreed standard and your usual lighting, and explain both the improvements available and the device's limitations.
